On November 2nd, 2010 my truck No. 68 was hit by Sygma Network
trailer 6244. The driver from Sygma Network ( the only one getting
loaded at the dock of Distant Lands Coffee Co. in Tyler, TX) pulling
from loading dock hit my truck no. 68 with his trailer after making
left turn to the exit gate.
After hitting my truck, the driver took off leaving all his paper
work ( bill of lading ) and seal at the loading dock. The driver hit my
truck and run away.
Fork Lift Mechanic also noticed speeding truck leaving the property.
Sygma Network truck was only one besides mine getting loaded at this
place.
Dock manager Jose took pictures of my damaged truck. I took
photos and video from the scene of accident showing clearly rubber
tracks from dock where Sygma Network truck was getting loaded heading
directly to my truck.
Texas State Police came to the scene of hit and run accident giving
us accident report.
Great America Insurance Group Inc. gave us claim no 491022836
I called Sygma Network Safety Manager but got voice mail. After
couple days I managed to talked to safety manager who clearly tried to
cover up the driver who hit my truck stating that he got no evidence
and driver have not noticed any accident - the question is why he left
in such hurry without stopping for bill of lading and seal - it is
legal requirement to have bill of lading with loaded truck.
I am requesting formal investigation to Sygma Network Safety
procedure and audit of safety regulation by the Department of
Transportation. This cover up behavior of Safety Manager in
transportation industry should not be tolerated as public safety is
compromised by inexperience and not responsible drivers and safety
managers.
Below I submit photos, videos and accident report from Texas State
police that came over to the location as well.
Estimated repair of front Truck - $1500.00
Wheel Alignment - $200.00
Air Cooler repair including actuator v pod on engine - $$490.00.
Lights repair - 150.00
One week lost from business due to repairs, parts search and
insurance claims procedures - $3500.00
Total loss to Silesia Group Inc. - $4840.00
We would like to get compensated at least for $4840.00 as soon as
possible.
Appraisal of damages does not include hidden damages as frame,
transmission and cooling system of this truck.
Sincerely,
